Smoothie of the Month: Blackberry Boost

Is there anything better than a refreshing smoothie? Kicking off your month (and morning) with a quick smoothie may not only fill you up, but can come with a number of health benefits. Of course, it all depends on your ingredients! I have to say, I am quite a fan of smoothie making. In fact, I have a smoothie every single morning! My trusty Magic Bullet is my favorite kitchen appliance and it never fails to help me create the most healthy, delicious breakfast.


This month, I have an amazing blackberry smoothie recipe to share with you.

Follow This Recipe!

You will need:

  • 1 cup of fresh blackberries
  • ½ banana (frozen)
  • 1 (6-oz) container of your favorite brand of plain Greek yogurt (I really love Fage!)
  • ½ cup almond milk (or your preference)
  • 1 tbs agave or honey (to sweeten!)

All you need to do is blend it on up, and serve! Feel free to add ice if you prefer, or maybe even some cocoa powder if you are in the mood to indulge without the guilt.

Looking for a punch of protein? Feel free to add in whatever type of protein powder you like! Even without the protein powder, the Greek yogurt will certainly bring protein to the table.
