Keeping Up With Psoriasis

In a recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, 30-year-old Kim Kardashian was diagnosed with psoriasis, an autoimmune disorder that causes red, flaky patches on the skin.

Many people with psoriasis feel alone, but this is certainly not the case. It is estimated that 7.5 million Americans are affected by the condition, making it the most common autoimmune disease in the country.

This noncontagious disease can be very troublesome, and often embarrassing, for people suffering from it. Fame and fortune don’t make dealing with psoriasis any easier for Kim, as stress has been known to be a factor in flare-ups and worsening of the condition.

Here are some tips on how music can be used to reduce stress in your life.

Although there is no cure for psoriasis, there are a variety of ways to manage it. Treatments range from psoriasis topical creams, such as Terrasil, that can calm dry, damaged skin to diet changes and light therapy.

I’ve started compiling videos on YouTube that address psoriasis and some natural remedies to manage the condition.
