Local Surf Camp for Autism a Success

Autism is currently the fastest growing developmental disability, with a growth rate of 1,148 percent, according to the Autism Society. “The demands of living with a person with autism are great, and families frequently experience high levels of stress,” the organization shares.

But for 180 autistic children and their families, the recent Surfers Healing RI surf camp was a day to escape their daily struggles and join together as a community. Participants were paired with professional surfers from across the country as they took to the waters and learned to surf.

The Aidance Skincare family was proud to help make this event possible as a sponsor! We also attended, met and cheered on lots of great people, and handed out all-natural skincare samples.
