Putting an End to Jock Itch

May 10th, 2015 | Uncategorized

Jock itch, a rash of the groin, is a common fungal infection. This fungal infection thrives in warm, moist places. You may get jock itch after being in contact with something that had the fungus, such as another person’s skin or clothing. It can also grow in the sweat collected in the folds of your skin (if you are athletic, for example). However you have gotten it, it is here, and it is awfully irritating.

The good news is that jock itch will usually go away with some tender, love, and care. Taking care and treating jock itch right away will get you on the road to recovery in no time. To treat, it is important to:

  • Keep the infected area clean and dry
  • Wear loose clothing as opposed to tight, as it can rub and irritate the infection
  • Wash athletic gear frequently
  • Bath daily and completely dry skin before dressing
  • Wash hands to prevent the spread of infection to other areas of your body (such as your feet)
  • Use Terrasil Jock Itch Ointment on the infected area as directed (learn more!)

Don’t let jock itch throw you off your game. Follow the above tips and may be able to stay infection-free.
