Chocolate Bar Fondue

February 13th, 2013 | Fun, Holiday, Recipe

Chocolate Fondue! If you have fruit with your chocolate, it’s not AS bad…right? Well, our philosophy is that a little indulgence now and then goes a long way in helping you keep an active, healthy lifestyle in the long run. For that reason, we had to share this decadent Chocolate Bar Fondue recipe from our friends at Real Simple…just in time for Valentine’s Day!
Here’s what you’ll need:

    • 3/4 cup heavy cream
    • 1 pound milk or dark chocolate, broken into pieces
    • 1 pint fresh strawberries
    • 1 store-bought angel food cake, cut into 1-inch pieces
    • 8 ounces dried fruit, such as pineapple slices and figs

    • In a small saucepan, over low heat, warm the cream and chocolate.
    • Stir until the chocolate melts.
    • Transfer the fondue to a serving bowl.
    • Serve immediately with forks and foods for dipping strawberries, angel food cake, and dried fruit.

Prefer marshmallows, Rice Krispie treats or apples? Dip what you’d like – it’s your party and you can “fondue” what you want to. Enjoy!
